Interim Assistant Supervisor (Full-Time) | Adolescent Residential Treatment

Interim Assistant Residential Home Supervisor (Full-Time) – Residential Behavioral Health

Boelkins Program | Youth Ages 10-16


Please note: This is an interim full-time position to provide program support. Upon conclusion of the position, you would transition back to your previous role (internal candidates) or have the opportunity to apply to other available positions.

Help Lead a Trauma-Informed Residential Treatment Team

We are seeking an Interim Assistant Home Supervisor to support daily operations within our residential treatment program serving youth ages 10-16 in our Boelkins Program.

Many of the youth in our Boelkins Program have never experienced consistent safety or stability. Healing begins with safety, consistency, and trusted relationships, In this role, you will work closely with the Residential Home Supervisor to guide staff, support treatment implementation, and help maintain a structured, therapeutic home environment where youth can build resilience and move toward healing.

You’ll serve as both a mentor to youth and a coach to staff—reinforcing trauma-informed care, promoting consistency, and helping ensure high-quality treatment and support throughout the home.

Schedule:

  • Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and 4 weekdays, a combination of 1st and 2nd shift with 2 administrative days
    • 1st shift: 7am–3pm
    • 2nd shift: 3pm–11pm

Compensation:

  • $23.00-$25.00/hour

What You’ll Do

Working alongside our residential leadership and multidisciplinary team, you will:

  • Support oversight of daily operations within the residential home
  • Assist in supervising, coaching, and developing Youth Treatment Specialists
  • Oversee staff training progression and support onboarding of new team members
  • Provide guidance in implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment grounded in the Sanctuary Model® (safety, emotional intelligence, open communication, and social learning)
  • Serve as a consistent, positive role model and mentor to youth
  • Provide direct care, supervision, and support to residents
  • Assist with scheduling and staffing coordination to ensure appropriate coverage
  • Support goal worker development and training within the program
  • Engage in recreational activities and skill-building opportunities with youth
  • Assist with meal preparation and maintaining a home-like environment
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and leadership to ensure coordinated care
  • Model trauma-informed approaches and support staff in applying them consistently
  • Ensure adherence to all agency policies, procedures, and licensing requirements

Background & Qualifications

Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited undergraduate college, and a minimum of two (2) years of competent Youth Treatment experience
    • –or- an Associate’s degree and a minimum of three (3) years of competent Youth Treatment experience
    • –or- a High School diploma and a minimum or four (4) Years of competent Direct Care experience
  • At least 20 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • At least 1 year of teaching, training, or staff development experience
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and safely perform physical interventions when necessary
  • Ability to bend, twist, and support movement in a residential setting
  • Alignment with Wedgwood’s Statement of Faith, vision, and values

Preferred Education:

  • Social Work (BSW in progress or completed)
  • Psychology
  • Counseling
  • Human Services or related field
  • Child Development
  • Criminal Justice (youth focus)
  • Behavioral Health or related field

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience training or working with adult learners
  • Computer skills/familiarity with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
