The Evening Campus Supervisor manages the operations of all residential units during evening and weekend hours. The Evening Campus Supervisor works in cooperation with Home Supervisors, Associate Directors of Residential Services, the Residential Program Manager, and other administrative personnel in the completion of assigned duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make rounds in person or on phone to all homes on campus a minimum of two (2) times per evening shift
- Oversee/consult on all risk management situations in the homes (i.e. Aegis, injuries, SR use, med errors, etc.).
- Manage weekend schedules in a stewardly manner… look to redeploy staff in homes with low census/low acuity levels to homes with high census/low staff/high acuity levels. Minimize use of OT.
- Oversee campus facility issues and support the Facilities staff carrying the On-Call Phone, report alarms, check lights in evening, vehicle reassignments, if necessary, etc.
- Provide support to others carrying On Call phones (Therapist, Administrator, Nurse, Respite Coordinator.)
- Serve as an administrative representative for the campus, ensuring that staff is following agency policies, procedures, and developments.
- Assist direct care staff with paperwork procedures (IPM’s, BMR’s, AWOL reports, etc.) as needed.
- Maintain neat, organized, accurate records of all accounts and activities involving crisis management and support when contacted by phone or while making rounds on evening shifts. Log phone calls made to others carrying On Call phones, contacts made, On Call YTS supervision/evaluations, and other risk management incidents.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures for maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu; abides within the established agency policies and licensing regulations for behavior management.
- Model professional child care skills to staff as a teacher, trainer and a direct care provider.
- Assure the maintenance of the physical environment throughout the campus through enforcement of housekeeping standards
- Meet regularly with Residential Program Manager in supervision sessions; utilize this supervision time and contributes as appropriate.
- Responsible for timely Quality Assurance compliance as related to employee’s roles and functions.
- Attend Supervisors meeting monthly and regularly connect with Home Supervisors
- Will be a certified trainer in Aegis and/or CPR/First Aid
- Will provide ongoing feedback and coaching to individuals and individual shifts when observing and supporting
- With support of Campus supervisor colleague, will regularly attend team meetings to build rapport with teams and to better understand needs of clients
- Will carry campus supervisor phone during entirety of shift
- Will take lead when working with facilities, and other administrators on the safety and security of the campus; will ensure contracted compliance with all fire drills and will develop safety protocol as needed
- Assist the Activity Therapy Coordinator in planning events and activities for clients on campus
- Will support and provide feedback with 6 Core Strategies, including assisting in facilitation within the Residential Youth Advisory Board
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited undergraduate college preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years within residential programing or relevant direct care experience.
- Strong knowledge of residential treatment and responsibilities of the youth treatment specialist.
- Prior experience providing leadership and working with interdisciplinary teams preferred.
- Agreement with the Employee Handbook and its policies.
- Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose, and objectives of the agency.
HOURS OF WORK:24 Hrs weekly, 2-10 PM One Weekday (TBD), Saturday and Sunday
PAY RATE: $22-24 hrly
